Materials and inventory tracking

An idle crew is the most expensive thing in a trades business, and the usual cause is a part nobody ordered. Materials tracking in WorksiteBase is deliberately simple: stock levels, reorder points, and a clear warning before you run short.

Stock levels and reorder points

Each item carries a reorder point. When stock drops below it, the item is flagged — before the crew discovers it at seven in the morning.

Materials booked to the job

What goes on a job is recorded against that job, so it appears on the invoice and in the margin instead of vanishing into overhead.

Trucks are locations too

Van stock is tracked like shop stock. You know what is already rolling before you order more of it.

Common questions

Can I scan barcodes?
Yes. The phone camera reads standard barcodes for receiving and for issuing to a job.
Does it order automatically?
No. It tells you what to order and leaves the purchase order to you — in our experience automatic ordering causes more problems than it solves in the trades.
Can I track serial numbers?
Yes, for equipment where the serial matters for warranty or registration.
